The Carroll County Historical Society is the local

groups working to save and restore local buildings, homes, structures,
and properties that have a connection to the counties' past. The Society also works to preserve the
memories of persons who were either born or lived in the county, and who
either helped
shape and define our county, region, state, and nation. We also support
individuals who have written books on local history, as well as local
